We are seeking an experienced HIM Coding Manager. Must be RHIA, RHIT or CCS. Graduate from high school or equivalent required. Associate, Baccalaureate or Certification in Health Information Technology, Administration Coding preferred.

Must have minimum of 3-5 years coding experience in an acute care setting required. Required minimum of 3-5 years experience in a HIM setting as a manager/supervisor. Must maintain the ability to code all varieties of charts (IP/OP/ER/SDC). Prior experience utilizing encoding products preferred. Must keep up to date on all required education and new coding information. Requires knowledge of ICD-9-CM and CPT, anatomy and physiology and medical terminology.

You will manage coding functions and ensure all coding and abstracting is performed in a complete, accurate, consistent, and timely manner. You will 19 FTEs direct reports. Must have excellent communication skills and ability to lead a team. Ability to work with minimal supervision and utilize time effectively. Good organizational and computer skills.
