Support the Ocular Research team with laboratory-based functions:
  • Assist ocular research team in developing early discovery and pre-clinical programs
  • Perform routine assays including data analysis and results interpretation
  • Assist ocular research team with in vitro and  in vivo studies
  • Identify opportunities to improve routine assays
  • Champion all safety aspects in the Translational Laboratories

  • Help planning and perform experiments in support of the Ocular research projects
  • Including new assay development and troubleshooting
  • Oversee and/or provide technical aspect in the performance of laboratory experiments as needed.
  • Manage Ocular research samples and materials.
  • Maintain inventory for Ocular group in the system
  • Supplier & Vendor Management and negotiations.

  • Be responsible and reliable in managing samples and running the experiments
  • Strong organizational skills and communication skills
  • Independently motivated, detail oriented and good problem solving ability.
  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot experiments.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Masters in a relevant field preferred.
  • Experience in general molecular biology experiments including SDS-PAGE, RT-qPCR, and cell culture: cloning experience is a plus
  • Adept at conducting routine testing and limited troubleshooting of multiple methods.
  • Experience in handling animals and assisting animal procedures is preferred
  • Prior experience writing SOPs and technical documents is preferred
  • Prior experience in the ophthalmology field is preferred
