The individual in this position will be responsible for a specific geographic area and will play a key role in educating healthcare professionals on treatment for hemophilia patients. This education will include clinical, psychosocial, as well as financial considerations for patients and their families. An emphasis will be placed on an investigational approach to treat or prevent genetic disease that is showing exciting potential for hemophilia patients. Effective internal and external customer interactions will be the focal point of this position with the focus to educate other healthcare professionals on new treatment options.
Provide clinical and professional expertise to internal and external customers regarding hemophilia. Interact with healthcare professionals (nurses, physical therapists, and social workers) as well as advocacy organizations on Spark’s new investigational approach.
Develop effective partnerships with clinicians by providing current, in-depth, clinical information on hemophilia therapy.
Develop effective working relationships across the organization that fosters a collaborative, consultative relationship.
Drive awareness of Spark’s investigational approach to treat or prevent genetic disease and implement individual programs to optimize patient outcomes and achieve specific business objectives. This will involve planning and implementing educational seminars and training programs.
Conduct customer needs analysis and develops strategies and educational content to resolve customer issues.
Support and advise marketing, to facilitate the design, development and implementation of educational programs that drive awareness of Spark’s investigational program.
Develop and maintain expertise in the area of hemophilia treatment and patient management. A broad understanding of the hemophilia community, including perspectives of patients, advocacy groups, payers and healthcare professionals will be necessary.
Effectively track and communicate all account activity to the appropriate people using the designated communication tools. Gather and communicate marketing intelligence information in a timely manner and as appropriate.
Demonstrate compliance with internal procedures, processes and Spark’s cultural values
A broad understanding the hemophilia community, including perspectives of patients, advocacy groups, payers and HCPs.
Demonstrated ability to develop deep, effective working rapport to foster a collaborative, consultative relationship with Healthcare professionals, especially nurses, physical therapists, and social workers.
Demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships across the organization
Effective communication skills, including formal slide presentations.
Demonstrated analytic and problem solving skills in the healthcare environment
Ability to travel 50-70% of time
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in nursing with at least 3-5 years of experience in the field of hemophilia.
Previous Industry experience preferred
