Responsible for the full systems development life cycle management of projects and programs impacting Spark’s Global Operating, R&D and Corporate business units.  Build and maintain a global enterprise architecture that facilitates common business processes and solutions that can be leveraged by Spark’s global business units.   Provides direction for IT technical and business analyst resources. Actively participates in long-range strategy planning and manages policy development to address complex business issues, provides leadership to cross-functional teams.  Serves as the primary point of contact for enterprise application projects inception to delivery. Works with IT and business unit managers and forms alliances on projects, operational decisions, scheduling requirements/conflicts and vendor contract clarification.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
25%
  • Responsible for the design, construction and maintenance of an Spark’s Enterprise Architecture that enables the achievement Spark’s Mission and Objectives. Maintains the IT Roadmap that aligns with the evolution of the Enterprise Architecture.

  • Partner with Global Process Owners in the creation and maintenance of common business processes. Accountable for maintaining the integrity and integration of the Spark’s global baseline architecture and solution.

  • Partner with IT Project Managers and Functional Managers during Project planning and delivery. Accountable for adherence to architectural principles and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies. Chairs the Architecture Review Board and reviews and approves requirements, design and test documents.

  • Lead a team of IT Business Analysts and align project requests with department and overall Spark strategic initiatives. Become a highly-respected partner to Spark’s department leaders to help drive and produce innovative technology solutions that generate sustainable value for the enterprise and our customers.

  • Responsible for the design, construction and maintenance of an Spark’s Enterprise Architecture that enables the achievement Spark’s Mission and Objectives. Maintains the IT Roadmap that aligns with the evolution of the Enterprise Architecture.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to source, build and lead a team balancing full time staff with the right people in the right roles and management of complex outsourced services.
  • Ability to identify emerging technologies that can add business value and to recommend changes to business practices to take advantage of technology innovation
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills; ability to create original concepts and theories for a variety of projects and to think creatively and beyond normal constraints
  • Familiarity with emerging innovation practices such as “Design Thinking”, Agile methods and DEVOPS.
  • Proven track record of success in leading full SDLC ERP projects, preferably in the Life Sciences Industry.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, matrix environment with local and virtual teams.
  • Extensive functional expertise with applications that support the supply chain and manufacturing functions in a Life Science organization. APICS Certified CPIM or CSCP preferred.
  • Life Sciences industry experience required; 21 CFR Part 11 compliance preferred; Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, system administration and Windows PC operating systems
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate technology solutions in business terms but in user-friendly language
  • Educate and Train IT and Business colleagues in ERP and Architecture principles and practices.
  • Manage budget for area of responsibility.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, related field or equivalent work experience
  • 10-12+ years of progressive experience in Leadership roles in global ERP implementation projects or equivalent, including multi-national and multi-cultural experience.
  • 5-8 years of experience in Enterprise, solution or related (data, process, organization) architecture role in a supply chain and manufacturing organization or equivalent
  • 8-12 years of experience in Management experience in strategic planning and/or operations
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture standards, processes, methods, reference models and frameworks, such as TOGAF
