The Director Real World Evidence Analytics ensures that real-world evidence (RWE) studies and queries are strategically designed and optimally executed to the highest standards. This research includes data management, programming, and statistical analysis of health claims, electronic medical records, and other observational data sources.
The Director also keeps current with healthcare policies, RWE data trends Biopharmaceutical industry, and other developments with other aspects of real world data analysis (e.g., analytic platforms, data warehousing, statistical methods, programming for large datasets; and regulatory perspectives on RWE).
Main Areas of Responsibilities
Design and conduct analyses of real world data in support of Patient Safety and Epidemiology group
Provide expert strategic consultation on database studies/analyses that will optimally support product value propositions and other strategic objectives (including study objectives, design, data source identification, protocol development, statistical analysis and interpretation) for teams in Global Evidence & Value and in the Commercial organization.
Assess, acquire, and manage RWE databases and analytic platforms as appropriate to optimally meet organizational goals
Effectively communicate research findings internally and externally, including publications
At least 6 years of experience in the design and conduct of RWE studies/analyses for pharmaceutical products either in the pharmaceutical industry or with a HE&OR contract research organization/consultancy.
Expert-level knowledge of RWE data sources and study methods including understanding of study designs that provide most relevant evidence to decision-makers
Strong understanding of evidence needs of payers and other healthcare decision-makers
Demonstrated research accomplishment including publications
Experience in programming languages (either statistical or computer)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong critical thinking skills
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to work effectively in a matrix environment with cross-functional teams
Experience & ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks across various projects, simultaneously
Be expert in quality control procedures for statistical programming and analysis
Advanced training and experience in the following areas:
Real world/observational research
Health economics and outcomes research
Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline plus Master’s degree in biostatistics, epidemiology, economics, public health, or equivalent quantitative-oriented program of study
